Glenview is a 19th Century cottage which is stone built with slate tiles on a quiet one way road in the village of Bwlch, just off the A40.
There is level parking at the front and side of the cottage on a mixture of stone slabs and tarmac. There is a small step through our front door into our porch area. The front door has slatted glass and wood with brass door furniture and bell.
All our sleeping accommodation is on our first floor which is accessed by thirteen polished wooden steps with a wooden banister on your left hand side ascending the stairs. There is no wheelchair access to the guest rooms, so our property is not really suitable for severely disabled guests.
We are ready to help with any heavy luggage and can explain any written information or menus for anyone sight impaired. We are happy to assist where possible with any disability, but suggest contacting us before confirming a booking to discuss your needs further.
All our bedroom doors are fitted with self closing fire-doors and have individual Yale type door locks. There is a downstairs W/C but this has no grab rails or disabled assistance.
Our public garden area is accessed by 27 fairly steep steps which are a mixture of stone and wooden steps. The first section has no handrail, but the second section has wooden rails to either side. We intend to add a handrail on the bottom section of the steps in the near future.
The house has full Wi-Fi Broadband access with a security key available on request.
There is a bus stop at the top of our road, with services into Brecon, Crickhowell and even onto Cardiff available. We also have a public house which serves evening meals and pub lunches at the top of our road, and a small convenience store within a five minute walk.
